GoldenGate Software, a provider of data integration solutions, and Ingres Corporation, a provider of open source database software and support services, recently announced that customers can take advantage of the open source Ingres Database with the real–time capabilities of GoldenGate solutions for managing the availability and accessibility of critical data.
The recent release of GoldenGate version 10 is claimed to deliver support and flexibility for heterogeneous environments, including log–based capture from Ingres source systems, to enable high–availability and zero-downtime upgrades and migrations.
By deploying the GoldenGate high-availability solution, Ingres users can reportedly facilitate log–based, real–time change data capture allowing logical data replication with high
performance, low overhead, ease of use, and flexibility.
