Expert System Joins the Oracle PartnerNetwork

Expert System, a provider of semantic software that discovers, classifies and interprets text information, recently announces it has joined the Oracle PartnerNetwork as a worldwide member. Expert System's COGITO Semantic Intelligence Engine is a natural fit with the Oracle Spatial option of Oracle Database 11g, which enables the industry's first open, scalable, secure and reliable RDF (Resource Description Framework) management platform for Semantic Web applications.

The integration of Expert System's COGITO software with Oracle's Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software enables both companies to support customers with one of the most comprehensive semantic intelligence and business analytics solutions available today.

Expert System is participating in the Oracle PartnerNetwork in the Database, Enterprise Manager, Enterprise Content Management, Business Intelligence and Business Intelligence Applications product focus areas with a specialization in the rapidly growing Semantic Web. Together, COGITO and Oracle's leading BI Solutions deliver a complete, integrated system for managing, optimizing and semantically analyzing internal and external content that greatly affects a business's bottom line.

Expert System's COGITO Semantic Intelligence Engine identifies the structural and lexical aspects of text, identifies the conceptual links between various documents, and carries out disambiguation and advanced semantic comprehension operations.

Expert System chose to work with Oracle because the company is constantly working to help shape, drive, implement and support the latest open standards for the Semantic Web. Oracle is a W3C member and actively participates in various technical working groups such as the OWL WG and the Data Access WG. Through the Oracle Spatial option, Oracle is also committed to supporting standards specifications for RDF, RDFS, OWL and SPARQL.
