Mark Logic Corporation, provider of the industry's leading XML server, recently announced the launch of the Open Enrichment Framework, an initiative created to speed integration with third–party entity extraction engines and other content enrichment tools. In addition, several partners have already completed integration using the framework and will provide pre–built pipelines that deliver out–of–the–box integration with advanced entity extraction engine technologies. Pipelines that will be available with MarkLogic Server 4.0.
Increasingly, organizations aim to unlock greater value from their unstructured content through the use of entity extraction technologies. The new Open Enrichment Framework simplifies the integration of third–party solutions, saving time and reducing technical complexity. In conjunction with the new MarkLogic 4.0 release also announced today, companies can better target delivery of content based on the structure added through these tools. Customers can now improve their search and discovery functionality by providing more focused search on the added structure, and explore content interactively using analytics driven by the entity markup.
"By enhancing MarkLogic Server with our powerful suite of Data Harmony products, we've found that organizations can expect to reduce the time to conduct individual queries by more than 50 percent and achieve seven-fold productivity increases," said Marjorie Hlava, President of Access Innovations, Inc., which offers an extensive line of content facilitation products and services for industry, medical institutions, academic institutions and government agencies. "This results in a higher degree of user satisfaction and search effectiveness. We're delighted to be teaming with Mark Logic to provide this powerful solution for customers."
