expressor software, a provider in semantic data integration, announced that it has secured $10 million in a second round of funding. The investment was led by Commonwealth Capital Ventures, the early and growth stage venture capital firm that has invested in roughly 140 high-growth companies, many of which are leaders in their respective industry categories. Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners, two other premier venture capital firms and expressor's existing investors, also participated in this Series B financing.

The funding will enable expressor software to further advance its innovative next-generation data integration platform and to rapidly expand marketing, sales, business development and product support.

Justin Perreault, general partner at Commonwealth, commented, "We see a huge opportunity for expressor software to reshape the competitive landscape in the data integration market. We believe that expressor has developed a highly innovative and differentiated software solution that can add tremendous value for large as well as midsize companies. Moreover, we are very impressed by the company's highly experienced and seasoned senior management team, which made it even more compelling for us to lead this funding round."
