Longtop Financial Technologies Limited (Longtop), a software developer and solutions provider targeting the financial services industry in China, recently announced it has signed a contract with a Big Four Bank client in China to expand and optimize its Operational Data Store (ODS) system. Under the terms of the contract, Longtop will expand and optimize the bank's ODS system to access operational data in its new Credit Management Information System.
The ODS system serves as an interim area between transaction systems and a Data Warehouse in order to store time-sensitive operational data that can be accessed quickly and efficiently. It enables analytical systems and business intelligence applications to get real-time access to operational data and thus improve the overall system performance and support the marketing decision process in a more efficient way. The Big Four Bank launched its ODS in 2006 and Longtop was assigned as the leading developer. The overall ODS system will become one of the largest banking ODS systems in the world.
"We are pleased to continue our involvement in the ODS system with this Big Four Bank. Our deepening relationships with China's top tier banks are central to the long-term business success of
Longtop, the leading domestic player in the financial IT services market," commented Weizhou Lian, CEO of Longtop. "This contract also strengthens us competitively in business intelligence
solutions, taking forward our strategy to bring to market a comprehensive software and IT solutions suite."
