Actuate Corporation recently announced that Actuate Performancesoft Views (Views) has been approved as a business intelligence tool within the Department of the Navy.

To gain approval for inclusion into the Navy’s approved business intelligence tool list, a functionality matrix and scorecard assessed 28 different applications. Views was one of seven applications achieving the ‘approved’ status.  As a result of inclusion onto the list, Views is utilized on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), which provides a full range of network-based information services on a single, enterprise wide intranet.  Specifically, NMCI links more than 400,000 workstations and laptops for 500,000 Navy and Marine Corps users across the continental United States, Hawaii, Cuba, Guam, Japan and Puerto Rico.

“We are thrilled to be included in the Navy’s approved Business Intelligence Tool list,” said Steve Fluin, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Performance Management Group, Actuate Corporation.  “With the increased demand for visibility, accountability and fiscal responsibility in all areas of government, it is satisfying to see that we have been able to support military command’s performance management program with our solution.”
