B-EYE-Network: A Year In Review
Published: December 29, 2004
We Thank You for the Success We've Achieved in 2004.

At the end of the year it is always appropriate to take a few moments to reflect on what has been accomplished, how these accomplishments have met our expectations and to express gratitude for those who made these accomplishments possible.

The B-EYE-Network became a reality in 2004. We started with the vision to deliver business intelligence and data warehousing information in a very different way. Our aim was to provide this content both horizontally across all fields and by industry (domain), making it relevant and current for the reader. We also provided our audience with the option of selecting the information on an executive or technical level.

We were very successful. Our first opportunity was to produce the Bill Inmon Newsletter. We next introduced the B-EYE-Network Newsletter, hosted by Claudia Imhoff, and the Business and Data Integration Newsletter, hosted by Colin White. Lastly, we launched the Business Performance Management Newsletter, hosted by Craig Schiff. The Network proudly serves 112,642 readers across our four newsletters making us the largest newsletter-based information source for Business Intelligence, BPM and Data Warehousing.

When we launched our first Channel on Government, hosted by Dr. Ramon Barquin, interest in the Network rose. We have since opened Channels on Insurance hosted by Donn Vucovich, Healthcare hosted by Scott Wanless and Financial Services hosted by Duffie Brunson. These were ambitious projects, but the success of these Channels has been phenomenal. We hope you have found the industry news, event listings and domain-leader insights to be valuable.

Our Spotlight Solutions, which are an intuitive dialogue with innovative solution providers, give us a cutting-edge introduction to the new products and services we know are of interest to you. We have also hosted several Web Seminars, which delivered superior information to very receptive audiences.

Besides articles from our newsletter experts we have been fortunate to offer a series of Metadata Model articles from Jonathan Geiger and Joyce Montanari and a series of nanotechnology articles from Dan Linstedt. Compliance articles on Sarbanes-Oxley have also been included.

Now that we have reviewed our accomplishments, it is more than time for us to express our gratitude. First, we must acknowledge our advertisers who make the Network a reality. It has been a pleasure to work with you, and as we expand our Network to include more Seminars, Channels and Content, we look forward to the opportunity to strengthen our partnership with you.

Secondly, we are very grateful to our readers who not only respond to our content, seminars and advertisers, but who offer their feedback to help us achieve the standard of excellence we wish for the Network.

Thirdly, we are grateful for our authors. Just as television and radio Networks produce award-winning, viewer-audience shows, we rely on an ensemble cast of authors. We don’t have one star, we have all-stars.

Please continue to make the B-EYE-Network your premier source for your Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing information. If you have a request or suggestion for improvement, please send it to us. We want to be your Network. The entire editorial staff of the B-EYE-Network extends its Best Wishes to you and your families for a Happy and Peaceful New Year!
