MicroStrategy a provider of business intelligence software, and SPSS Inc. a provider of predictive analytics software, recently announced that they have extended their alliance agreement. As part of the renewed agreement, the companies will continue to engage in cooperative marketing and joint business development programs.
SPSS’ predictive analytics software and solutions enable companies to direct and automate decisions to meet business goals and achieve a competitive advantage. The MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Platform can use predictive models created by SPSS to forecast future outcomes, making predictive insights available to business users. The integration is made possible by both vendors’ support for Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML), an industry standard for sharing data mining models. Combining MicroStrategy’s business intelligence technology with SPSS’ predictive analytics enables organizations to better utilize their data to enhance decision making and project future trends.
“This renewal enables SPSS to strengthen its partner ecosystem, providing innovative solutions for our customers’ business problems, while also generating additional business opportunities for SPSS and its alliance partners,” said SPSS Vice President of Worldwide Alliances Patrick McCue. “More companies are evolving into predictive enterprises. MicroStrategy’s new Dynamic Enterprise Dashboards are an exciting innovation that provide users with a tremendous amount of information in an easy-to-use and compelling manner. SPSS technology complements these dashboards and enables customers to interact with predictive metrics for greater insight, efficiency, and transparency.”
