Originally published February 15, 2006

Teradata, a division of NCR Corp., a provider in enterprise data warehousing solutions, recently announced that the American Red Cross will use its Teradata data warehouse to perform non-FDA-regulated reporting about its blood supply.

As part of the agreement, the American Red Cross will be utilizing Teradata hardware, software and professional services and will migrate its Teradata warehouse system to its headquarters data center in Washington, D.C.

The American Red Cross currently utilizes the Teradata Warehouse to monitor a large number of business metrics and to identify opportunities for improvement.

"Teradata has always focused on helping our customers realize significant value by performing analytics on the data in their data warehouse. We are excited about the expanded utilization of Teradata technology at the Red Cross," said Rick Morton, Teradata Vice President.
