Applix, a provider of business performance management (BPM) and business intelligence (BI) applications, has entered into an OEM agreement to provide MarketStance, with its Applix TM1 application, enabling the company to achieve faster, more accurate and transparent dissemination of demographic information and market data for insurance marketing, underwriting and agency management applications.

MarketStance's offerings assist insurance carriers in handling a wide range of strategic and operational issues involving agency management, marketing, product development, underwriting, and field management and operations. MarketStance's information is comprehensive, flexible, up-to-date and highly reliable. Its custom analytical work is characterized by pioneering perspectives and techniques, a depth of insurance experience, and outstanding technical skills.

With Applix's TM1 as the real-time analytics and reporting engine, and TM1 Web, MarketStance ExpressReports use formatted dynamic reports to make reliable and timely insurance market data easy to access by customers' field staff and others with occasional data requirements. TM1 allows ExpressReports to be made function-specific so that individuals, who need market data or information to support distribution management efforts, can easily find the information they need quickly and accurately.
"MarketStance's ExpressReports are designed to enable distribution of proprietary information to large numbers of industry users in a cost-effective manner," said David Menninger, Vice President of Worldwide Product Management and Marketing, Applix. "By using TM1, MarketStance is achieving its goal of greater penetration and use of its data within the insurance industry, as well as a greater reliance on its data within client companies."
