Bellamy Software and Jinfonet Announce Partnership

Originally published November 10, 2005

Jinfonet recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with Bellamy Software to embed JReport, Jinfonet’s powerful web-based reporting solution, into Bellamy's financial suite of products. Bellamy Software’s full-featured financial management software helps its client’s process receipts, payments and payroll, and fulfill internal and external reporting responsibilities.

Bellamy Software’s immediate objective was to enhance the reporting capabilities for its financial tools. The company was also looking to establish a long-term alliance that would allow them to develop web-based reporting for their other solutions. Bellamy provides software, hardware, training and support to local government agencies, school boards and utilities to help them better manage their organizations’ financial and reporting functions.

After conducting an extensive, six-month search of all the major business intelligence and embedded reporting vendors, Bellamy determined that Jinfonet’s JReport would be the best fit for its reporting needs. According to Ken Shelton, General Manager for Bellamy Software, “We spent a lot of time looking for the best offering. Reporting is a critically important component for our financial suite. JReport was rated very highly in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, and our own research confirmed it.”

Bellamy needed its reporting solution to be J2EE compatible and easily embedded into their IBM framework. JReport met this need due to its 100% Java-based architecture. With a Java architecture, JReport can be seamlessly embedded in any application. Time- and resource-intensive application management is reduced because JReport does not have to be administered as a separate application.
