Published: November 1, 2005
CONTROL’s dynamic database structure provides Washington Trust a solid foundation.

KCI Computing a provider of a powerful, cost-effective corporate performance management (CPM) solution that offers organizations of all sizes the real-time insight needed to plan, assess and drive corporate performance—recently  announced that Washington Trust Bank, has extended its use of KCI’s hallmark software product, CONTROL, further optimizing its financial management processes.

Washington Trust Bank began using CONTROL in 2003 to streamline and transform a key pain point—its budgeting processes. CONTROL replaced a homegrown legacy application instilling granular budgeting and forecasting and visibility down to individual debits and credits.

CONTROL’s user-friendly Excel interface, coupled with its centralized data repository, enabled the bank to simplify methods, do value added analysis, test hypotheses and assure data integrity while significantly reducing budget cycle times.  Additionally, CONTROL’s dynamic database structure provided Washington Trust a solid foundation and single point of access for everyone who has a stake in the business processes to collaborate.

With CONTROL, Washington Trust Bank has replaced time-consuming manual data roll-ups with automatically consolidated data instantly regardless of volume or complexity, assuring accuracy, reliability and consistency. The bank is now able to measure progress and generate reports in a fraction of the time—minutes compared to days—efficiently and accurately using one cohesive system.
