Pentaho’s OEM Partners Program Surges 146 Percent

Originally published February 4, 2010

Pentaho Corporation, the commercial open source alternative for business intelligence (BI), continues to see tremendous adoption among on-premise, Cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business application providers looking to embed sophisticated BI capabilities into their offerings. Over the last quarter, a record number of new organizations have joined Pentaho’s OEM Partner Program to deliver incremental value to customers and drive new revenue through integrated reporting, analytics and data integration solutions.

In the second half of 2009, Pentaho’s OEM Partner Program grew 146 percent over the prior half, breaking a company record of net new OEM partners signed during the period including 31 transactions of substantial size. These technology providers have selected Pentaho to embed modern BI capabilities into their applications, helping to differentiate their products and add critical functionality for end users. By choosing open source business intelligence from Pentaho, these organizations are delivering world-class solutions at market-leading value to their customers and organization.

Data integration and business intelligence continues to evolve as an expected, integrated part of almost any business software application and analyst firm Gartner predicts a five-fold increase in open source BI deployments over the next 22 months.  Pentaho offers a complete, modular and embeddable business intelligence suite that allows OEMs and SaaS application providers to seamlessly integrate end-to-end BI and data integration to differentiate products and give customers the features they demand.

Pentaho’s OEM Partner Program enables leading technology providers to deliver commercially supported BI functionality while avoiding the high costs and limited flexibility of traditional proprietary embedded BI solutions.  Its modern, standards-based architecture makes integration simple and seamless, letting Pentaho OEMs bring their solutions to market and realize return on investment (ROI) much faster than would be possible using traditional proprietary BI.

“Our commercial open source model and leading BI tools have made Pentaho the popular choice for technology providers looking to embed intuitive reporting, analytics and data integration into their applications,” said Richard Daley, CEO of Pentaho. “By doing so, these OEM partners are increasing their competitive advantage, opening new revenue streams and enhancing the value they provide to their customers.”
