Kognitio Positioned in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant

Kognitio, a leading global provider of business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing solutions, recently announced that it has been positioned in Gartner Inc.’s latest “magic quadrant” of data warehouse database management systems (DBMS) vendors. 

In its “Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems,” Gartner analysts evaluated 15 separate vendors of DBMS systems, including Kognitio.  The report singles out BI Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings, saying, “We have seen more activity in the market with this model. There are two reasons for this. First, some business units are dissatisfied with their IT departments. Buying a managed service for their BI needs bypasses the IT department. Second, some small companies cannot afford their own data warehouse infrastructure but have large volumes of data to process for analytics. This is a growing segment of the data warehouse DBMS market.”
