Silver Creek Systems, the pioneer and leader in automated Data Mastering solutions, recently announced that Big Hammer Data, a division of Edgenet, Inc. and America’s largest hardlines data synchronization and content management supplier, has selected the DataLens System to automate data mastering processes such as content validation, standardization, classification and custom publication for their data pool. Increased automation of these processes will enable even faster, more cost-effective onboarding of new items, rapid scaling of the number of products available online, and the ability to offer new custom content-based services to their customers. This will enable Big Hammer Data to enhance their existing progressive data quality offering to current suppliers in the hardlines, automotive, and sporting goods industries as well as future industries they will support.
“Big Hammer is in the product data management business so having a rich array of progressive data quality services is critical to us,” said Joe Czarnecky, Executive Vice President of Data Services for Big Hammer Data. “The DataLens System enhances our ability to validate and enforce progressive data standards on suppliers’ product content. In turn, we are able to provide more flexibility in how we deliver the data for consumption. This directly impacts our customers who will benefit not only from these enhanced data quality services, but from the increased speed of which they can enter data and leverage it throughout the Edgenet Network.”
Based on next-generation semantic technology, the DataLens System from Silver Creek Systems recognizes, extracts and transforms key information in real-time a process known as Data Mastering. Semantic technology recognizes and standardizes data regardless of format or source and makes it available in a format compliant with any enterprise data standards, including those defined by a Master Data Management or by the unique requirements of a downstream system or customer – from complying with specific load formats to optimizing product data for online search.
“In a world where content is ubiquitous, the ability to manage the quality, consistency and usefulness of that content on a timely basis is a major competitive advantage,” said Barbara Mowry, President and CEO of Silver Creek Systems. “Big Hammer is leading the way in providing quality product information as part of their value to both suppliers and retailers.”
