Infobright, the open source data warehousing company, and Talend, the recognized market provider in open source data integration, recently announced the immediate availability of two integrated virtual machines. The first combines the Infobright analytic database, Infobright Community Edition (ICE), with Talend Open Studio, the leading open source data integration tool. The second virtual machine bundles these same two products with Jaspersoft's open source report server, JasperServer Community Edition, to deliver an end-to-end business intelligence solution.
Each virtual machine benefits from Infobright and Talend's large and vibrant open source communities: With over five million lifetime downloads, Talend Open Studio is the most widely used open source data integration tool available, and Infobright is built on MySQL, the world's most popular open source database. The joint solutions give developers the ability to quickly and easily download, install, test and deploy a powerful, self-managing analytic database in conjunction with a market-leading ETL (extract-transform-load) tool and business intelligence functionality.
"Together, Infobright, Talend and Jaspersoft are combining the rich capabilities that today's businesses need to leverage their ever increasing and diverse data assets," said Susan Davis, Vice President of Marketing at Infobright. "Offering a quick path to deployment, these solutions enable users to take advantage of all the benefits - such as flexibility and cost effectiveness - that open source has to offer."
