Originally published November 18, 2009

In its first six months of operation, the SAP Co-Innovation Lab in Bangalore, India, has opened its doors to SAP partners and customers for collaborative development projects intended to address the most pressing business concerns in their respective industries. Recently, SAP AG announced groundbreaking new business solutions that have been produced from the lab in Bangalore. Valued SAP India partners Arteria Technologies Ltd. and MindTree Ltd. have worked jointly with developers at the lab to create new workflow and mobility solutions that are being jointly demonstrated and showcased to customers that may benefit from them. Arteria's new offer is already publically available via SAP EcoHub, an online marketplace for certified solutions by SAP partners.

Announced in April 2009, the SAP Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore (see "SAP Expands Global Ecosystem With SAP Co-Innovation Lab in Bangalore") is the latest addition to the co-innovation lab network, which joins the existing labs in Palo Alto, California, and Tokyo, Japan. Employees of SAP, its partners and customers work within the lab across departments and knowledge levels to create ready-made solution accelerators that complement the SAP portfolio to deliver cutting-edge business processes. The SAP Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore is the SAP storefront in India for co-innovation. It engages with frontrunner customers and partners as co-innovators with SAP, and enables the joint collaboration on projects spanning relevant end-to-end business scenarios and technology solutions.

"India's strengths in technological innovation and development are greatly valued by SAP," said S. Singh Mecker, Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Ecosystem and Partner Group for SAP AG. "The SAP Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore harnesses a tremendous pool of talent and experience for our customers' success. The offerings that have been developed at the Bangalore site demonstrate the strength of co-innovation in our product and ecosystem strategy, and we are pleased to be able to make them available to customers through our partners and SAP EcoHub."
