Star Analytics and Linium Partner

Originally published July 9, 2009

Star Analytics, Inc., a provider of enterprise data integration software for Financial Consolidation, planning, budgeting and analysis, andLinium, LLC, an Oracle Certified Partner specializing in the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management suite of products, recently announced a partnership to improve the timeliness and accuracy of performance–based business decisions.
Under the partnership, Linium will resell the Star Analytics Financial Management Platform within its Corporate Performance Management and Business Intelligence offerings. Built on the Star Integration Server and the Star Finance Command Center , the platform integrates finance and operational data from Oracle Hyperion and other systems and makes it available on demand.
Some of the largest Oracle Hyperion customers are using the Star Analytics platform to accelerate decisions, speed their financial close process and power continuous planning environments. The solution reduces the cost and complexity of managing and expanding their finance systems by eliminating the manual intervention needed to access and integrate data and processes for reporting and analytical applications in areas such as: global cash management; incentive compensation; expense and revenue management; capital planning; performance management and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) adoption.
Today’s announcement addresses the critical need to improve business performance in this challenging economy. Studies suggest an increased focus on areas like planning, budgeting and forecasting, with a recent report indicating that over 80% of respondents “were determined to improve this process in the next two years.” (Source: “Thriving not just surviving: Insights from leading finance functions”; CFO Research Services for KPMG International, June 2009)
“Our partnership with Linium is a huge win for customers that are struggling to reduce the total cost of ownership of finance systems that are laden with proprietary code and custom calculation scripts,” said Tom Tortolani, Vice President, Products at Star Analytics. “With Linium’s successful implementations in both the commercial and federal markets, the partnership will dramatically increase our footprint as we advance breakthrough approaches to financial data integration.”
