Yamagata Bank Selects SPSSOriginally published June 27, 2005 Japan’s Yamagata Bank has selected SPSS predictive analytics software to significantly enhance its housing credit system. By deploying SPSS in all its branches, Yamagata bank will be able to streamline these credit operations and cut costs. To further expand and improve its customer services, Yamagata Bank decided to develop a scoring system for its housing loans. The bank then chose SPSS’ data mining workbench Clementine as the backbone for this system. Yamagata Bank chose SPSS as the most cost-effective technology for creating a real-time, highly accurate Web-based credit system. “We chose SPSS predictive analytics software because of its low cost of ownership, its ease of deployment and, most importantly, because of its powerful analytics capabilities,” said Mr. Yoichiro Yamamoto, Manager, Department of Personal Finance Services at Yamagata Bank. “SPSS will help us become more customer-responsive in delivering our housing credit services, but in a way that is also cost-efficient.” This BeyeNETWORK news item contains information from a recent press release by the company mentioned.
