I totally agree with the " Decision Centric " approach of looking at BI. I am an MIS graduate student and a keen BI enthusiast. The deeper I got into BI the more I started to realize that it has an inherent quality of improving the decision making process itself. I think in order to truely tap the power of BI it is imperative that the BI implementation helps in streamlining and improving the decisions being made. I figured, quick and unobstructed information flow using the BI feedback/monitoring loop within the organization would enable us to clearly realize the impact of the decisions made and make improvements.
