Overview

Chris Twogood, vice president of product and services marketing with Teradata, is interviewed by Phil Bowermaster, independent analyst and consultant specializing in big data and analytics. Chris explains that for the first time in history, the Teradata database can be deployed for production use cases on Amazon Web Services (AWS) where companies pay as they go and consume as needed, allowing any company of any size to take advantage of Teradata’s world-class database. The Internet of Things is also discussed, and Chris talks about Teradata’s work to make IoT data available for analysis. Chris concludes by discussing the Unified Data Architecture (UDA) appliance that simplifies the deployment of the UDA and makes it more performant.
