Analytics is truly the next major stage in the business intelligence (BI) evolution, shifting attention from how we deliver information to how we use that information. It is a large, complex field that encompasses statistical analysis, predictive analytics, text and speech analytics, web analytics, visualization, causal analysis and much more. Most importantly, analytics involves people - the business analysts.
