11/01/08 – THE DATA ADMINISTRATION NEWSLETTER, LLC – http://www.TDAN.com

Dear TDAN.com Readers,

The new issue (November 2008) of The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN.com) has been posted. TDAN.com, now monthly, is in its twelfth year of providing quality professional content for the data management professionals. This issue is stocked with a lot of great new material.

The November issue contains New Articles from David Hay and Michael Lynott (UML as a Data Modeling Notation - Part 3), Juan Irizarry (The Next Frontier for the DBA), James Luisi (Control Systems vs. Information Systems) and Timothy Ryan (Measuring the Measurers) . Three Feature Columns were updated including Adrian Miley (Architecture is Objective; Design is Subjective), Ron Ross (Business Rules), and the DAMA Corner. Links to new articles on the Business Intelligence Network have been added as well. Finally, A new section titled TDAN.com BlogWatch was added for November.

CALL FOR ARTICLES AND FEATURE COLUMNS:

PLEASE send me articles you are interested in having published through this award winning publication. I am still looking to add Feature Columns that will run quarterly in Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct, Feb/May/Aug/Nov and Mar/Jun/Sep/Dec. Please send me an email with your ideas.

The rest of the publication continues to be updated regularly including new book reviews, an updated list of data-oriented conferences through 2008, updates to the book list of several top books published in late ’07 and in ’08, business resource list, companies and products list and more. Two new books written by friends of mine have been added to the Book Center including Danette McGilvray’s Executing Data Quality Projects and Thomas C. Redman’s Data Driven. The quote of the week and 5 data oriented news stories (TDANews) continue to be updated weekly.

I am always interested in your feedback regarding the new issue and the (not so) new look of TDAN.com. Please feel free to contact me with suggestions and comments. A form has been set up through the Contact tab to submit these comments. Thanks.
