It's about TrenStar a Colorado based company that specializes in mobile asset management. Specifically they put RFID on beer kegs and other containers. The story is interesting so be sure and read it. A couple weeks ago I talked about how great it is that the Iowa highway system had adopted Wi-Fi technology to serve travelers. This week I ran across an article in EWeek (wish I could give you a link but I was unable to find the article on the site, try page 41 August 1 issue) that discussed how Granitrock a California based quarry was using Business Objects and RFID to better serve customers and track the 600 trucks that it fills everyday. The quarry has come a long way since Fred Flinstone. Have a great weekend. |
