And a second keynote Data Governance Done Right" by Evan Levy, Partner, Baseline Consulting.

The Business Intelligence Network will be on hand doing podcast interviews so watch my blog for access to these.

More to come from Orlando........

Talend goes SaaS

Talend data integration software continues to make positive noise in the market. They launched Talend Open Studio in 2006 an open source migration and integration solution. Today they announced further product enhancements that include a software as a service model. Over 70,000 people have downloaded Talend since its launch. The economic side of the solution should at least put it on your short list when looking at this type of solution

Pay as you go Data Quality

What if you could address your data quality software needs in a pay-per-use format? AMB Dataminers has just launched an on-demand software service that provides data profiling, cleansing and quality service over the internet. Check out PayAsYouGoDataQuality.com where you can set up a client controlled environment thats secure and keeps your data private. I've known AMB Dataminers CEO for a little over a year and I have to admit that his view of the market is nothing short of passionate. He's found an affordable and interesting way for any company to address the data quality issues they have without a huge price tag.

“There’s a huge market that needs sophisticated data cleansing capability to be competitive,” said Steven Meister, CEO of AMB Dataminers. “Large corporations unnecessarily invest millions of dollars for antiquated data profiling/quality products that don’t deliver. We’re offering companies the opportunity to get what they need, the way they need it, the way they want to pay for it.”

PayAsYouGoDataQuality.com pricing starts as low as $200.00 and offers a variety of features including:

  • deployable in multiple operating modes
  • easy to use and intuitive
  • capable of working at both field and intra-record levels
  • able to handle a wide variety of data sources
  • capable of integrating with data-quality software
  • executable in both batch processing and real-time

Its exciting to see so many new models and solutions hitting the market. This type of innovation is worth looking into.
