Good morning from Phoenix and the Independent Analyst Platform (IAP) Informatica's Karen Hsu is kicking things off this morning talking about the Informatica platform and it's continued growth and focus with on-demand integration, enterprise data integration and b2b data integration. This three way approach is a good strategy for Informatica. The b2b Data Exchange offering is the newest part of the solution providing a platform that can handle integrated business partner data.

Other recent changes include Informatica's ability to do real-time data integration and its recent acquisition of Identity systems that now adds multilingual name matching to the Informatica suite.

More coverage from Informatica World 2007 in Orlando. I had a chance to catch up with Informatica CMO Brian Gentile. We discussed the event, product updates, financials, and merger and acquisition rumors.

Back in Orlando again this week. I am starting to feel like a resident. The show got off to a solid start this week. Content is excellent, 50+ presentations and over 1000 attendees, Jill Dyche and Evan Levy are doing a session on MDM, David Loshin is teaching a class too. As always its fun to see friends at these events. Darren thanks for the kind words on my blog and the others on the network.

More to come......

My last piece regarding the Informatica World show. Thank you to everyone for thier help and hospitality. I enjoyed the meetings and sessions as well as getting to know a few of the customers. I also had a great time with Jim, Nancy and John at the Buena Vista and riding the cable cars. My final thought on the week is that all is well at Informatica and consistency and innovation seem to be the words that stick with me. I received briefings on the upcoming product releases code named Hercules, Devinci and Galileo all seem to be right on target. Informatica has done a strong job implementing the technology from the Similarity Systems acquisition into the platform and the focus on software as a Service (SaaS) is a very interesting solution for a data integration company.

My last word on Innovation is one of congratulations to this years winners of the Informatica World Innovation awards.
