HP and Business Intelligence

Earlier this year I wrote a post about HP and weather they were serious about business intelligence. (Is HP Serious about Business Intelligence?) My position then was yes and as we approach the end of the year I got the opportunity to revisit the issue with HP today and found that it is in fact - TRUE. I have to commend the strategy and execution they have demonstrated. The acquisition of Knightsbridge was a total win and while they continue to work at fully unifying the two companies the combination very powerful. HP recently announced a 50% growth in business intelligence based clients in 07 and while I am sure a portion of that come by way of the Knightsbridge acquisition they are also adding new clients at a great pace. 2007 has brought them a 32% jump in business intelligence deals over the 1 million dollar mark.

Its going to be an interesting year in the business intelligence space and its clear HP is serious about playing a key role.
