The momentum behind Microsoft's business intelligence initiatives continues to move forward at a steady pace. The Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 enters Community Technology Preview (CTP) version 3 today. I haven't had a chance to see it in action yet but you can get a copy by visiting the Connect site http://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=181

Talend data integration software continues to make positive noise in the market. They launched Talend Open Studio in 2006 an open source migration and integration solution. Today they announced further product enhancements that include a software as a service model. Over 70,000 people have downloaded Talend since its launch. The economic side of the solution should at least put it on your short list when looking at this type of solution

Ok not 20 years but its been two years since I started blogging regularly here on the Network. I have to admit I enjoy it. Its given me a great platform for covering the industry and a new way to communicate with readers. I went back to see what I talked about that first month in June of 2005 and found that many of todays topics were just emerging then.

1) Data Quality and Integration companies were in the news
2) Industry Growth was positive
3) HP was in the news
3) Data Warehouse Appliances were making noise
4) Open Source was getting more traction

Its interesting to see all the consolidation and changes that have taken place over the past couple years. Having been in this space for over 10 years I'm still surprised how fast it moves.

This years most popular post has been the Cognos for Dummies to date I have sent out over 30 copies of Susan Dean's Cognos manual.

Thanks for reading and participating.
