Dell Computers has not been famous as of late for listening to their customer base and has been racked over the coals for various customer service issues that have hit the press. However,
it appears that they are now making an effort to listen and actually act on recommendations from users. They recently set up an electronic suggestion box and one of the submissions urged Dell to consider building an inexpensive Linux based PC and they announced today that they will.

It will offer a pre-installed version of the open source desktop application suite OpenOffice and other Linux based applications. The price point seems solid and could give the struggling Dell computers a leg up in the market.
