I took a couple days vacation in between Oracle Open World and the IBM Information On Demand shows to enjoy Napa Valley to celebrate my 15 year wedding anniversary with my wife Dawn. It was a fantastic trip with the non-stop sunshine and temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's. I highly recommend this time of year for a visit most of the vineyards are still harvesting cabernet grapes so you get to see a lot of the production process.

I have listed the wines and winery's I visited below with my score for each on a scale of 1 -10, 10 being the highest.

First a comment or two on the restaurant scene -
I had great meals almost everywhere we went, Julia's Kitchen at the COPIA is a fantastic lunch spot try the Chef's Lunch with the wine pairings, Dinner at Bouchon's was excellent plus its less expensive than French Laundry by a huge amount. Tiramisu in San Francisco is a must stop in the alleys on Beldon Place (thanks John) The Mustard Grill was our only disappointment the restaurant is best known for its excellent wine list and signature pork chops. They hold themselves out as a laid back alternative to the more wine snobby places in the valley but are actually very snobby themselves the service was mediocre and the food was just ok. The staff was unattentive and slow they forgot about us at the bar for an hour while we waited for our table, our waiter never even stopped back to ask us how our food was and didn't even offer desserts just dropped the bill on the table. I would avoid Mustards Grill at all costs.
