A while back I mentioned that the folks at Ipedo were doing a survey on the EII marketplace. Well the results are in and the information is great. I won't spoil any of the surprises here but a few of the areas they focused on include the primary drivers for EII projects, where and how companies are implementing the technology, information on data sources, company sizes and more.

They have a special spot on the site so you can access the results, take a look they did a great job on it.

You have to register with Ipedo to see the results. If I register to see the results, will I be contacted by Ipedo for marketing purposes?

Any survey given by a vendor would seem to have primary motives other than doing a pure survey in the name of research and advancing our craft.

Are the results defensible? That is, both the nature of the questions, as well as the respondents, might be skewed.

Dear Dubious,
I can't speak for Ipedo but I'm sure they have a privacy policy on the site. I found the results to be interesting as well as comprehensive. This is the second edition of the survey so I think they are refining the process each year. With any survey results I believe you always need to consider the source and function of the survey.

It will come as no surprise to you that Ipedo is a fan of EII. My suggestion is to download the results and see what you think. Also, once you have, please share your thoughts here in the comment section

Thanks for the note,
Warm regards,
Shawn Rogers
