Podcast? Whats a Podcast?

I've received a couple emails this week regarding the new Podcast content we are offering. Don't feel bad if you are not up to date on the subject its actually quite new. Podcasting has only been around for about 18 months.

A quick history:
Most people agree that podcasting was invented by Adam Curry a former MTV personality and Dave Winer the inventor of RSS. RSS is a simple XML language that allows website users to subscribe to content on the website, An RSS reader checks for new content at the subscribed website and delivers it to your desktop. Podcasting is an extension of this process, it simply includes a MP3 file in the RSS feed and your RSS Reader Application sticks the file on your iPod or other MP3 player.

Why should you use Podcasting
The bottom line is that it allows you to access audio content and utilize it at your convenience. You're no longer constrained by web browsers or website you control the information and if you choose you can stop the subscription simply by deleting the feed, no more opt-out email forms.

Anyway, I hope this helps define how you can use and enjoy our Podcasts, watch for a weekly news Podcast coming in a few weeks. Here is our Podcast link: copy it into your Podcast compliant RSS reader and your ready to go!
