MicroStrategy Ranked Number 1

Nigel Pendse of The OLAP Survey compiled findings from almost 1,000 customer sites. In the survey, companies using more than one BI product were asked which product they would choose to standardize on and why.

MicroStrategy was selected by 87.5% The Peer Group consists of MicroStrategy, Hyperion Essbase, Cognos PowerPlay, Business Objects and Oracle Discoverer.

Here is how they ranked:

Interesting. Ask the Microstrategy customers if they've ever attempted to renegotiate a license and let mstr print off the license manager report. Given that they don't have a correct proces for getting reseller license purchases, it will be incorrect. No problem, except that mstr will then attempt to sue for breach of contract on compliance. If this happened once, it would be unpleasant but excusable, but this is a complaint I've heard from other unfortunates like myself. Thanks to this, I'll never use them again.

Perhaps the numbers are skewed because Microstrategy are likely to have some other BI product in house.

After taking time to beta testing their products and helping them on their promotions (media articles) we were "attacked" by the sales reps which put money before customer care. After we helped during the audit process, they kept the results for themselves until it was time to renew our contract.

Awesome product, horrible customer care.

I don;t know how the other companies do, but I'm willing to try a new one as soon as have a chance.
