Are Data Warehouse Appliances the Answer?

It's an interesting debate as many of you know data warehouse appliances are getting a lot of traction in the market place. The leading solution providers in this space are making the news on our Network and other publications almost every week.

I read a recent post on Duncan Lambs blog that seems to indicate a debate is brewing. Follow the links on his blog for more details (be aware that some links go to vendor written content).

I think there is more than one way to address the ever-increasing data growth that virtually every company is facing. So far Appliances have demonstrated they are a solid alternative to addressing performance, scalability and low TCO.
