Thanks for visiting my blog. As co-founder of the BeyeNETWORK, acquired by TechTarget in 2010, I am privileged to participate in many industry-related activities as a BeyeNETWORK expert covering business intelligence and analytics. These events provide me with a unique insider perspective into the business intelligence ecosystem, its products and the vendors that provide those products. I'll be sharing that invaluable information with you through this blog, which will also be a reflection my business philosophy. And, just to make this interesting, I'll be sure to include my personal point of view on a wide range of topics and share some of the stories of people I meet in my travels.

There is a great book that has just been published -- Business Intelligence and Analytics for Healthcare. It is authored by Scottt Wanless and Thomas Ludwig. This book should be in the hands of anyone that wants to reap the benefits of BI in healthcare AND do that in a way that allows their organization to deal with the ever-increasing rules and regulations, pressures and threats facing healthcare organizations today.

In the new book, Scott and Tom explain how business intelligence (BI) and analytics are already being used by healthcare providers. They also provide advice on developing and implementing BI systems and projects to increase revenue and provide a competitive advantage.They've even included case studies from healthcare organizations such as Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, Denver Health and United States Air Force Medical Operations Agency.

As you all know, Scott is one of the BeyeNetwork's healthcare channel leaders, and he has been sharing his expertise with all of you since 2004. Our site features many of his articles and also some very helpful BeyeUNIVERSITY courses that he developed: Key Healthcare Business Intelligence Applications, Using Healthcare Business Intelligence Applications for Business Success, and Business Intelligence for Healthcare Executives.

This book is available through Ark Group at http://www.ark-group.com/home/Publications/Publication.asp?pubid={BA4CC4BF-145F-44AA-9167-672218B61F3D}

Congratulations to Scott from all of us at the BeyeNetwork!
