GIS for Everyone...

I have started to take a good look at Google Earth. I have long been a believer in the potential of using geographical information systems as part of a business intelligence program. One task I am setting for myself is to see whether this new (and extremely mesmerizing) tool from Google can be easily integrated as a visualization layer for analysis and reporting. Apparently you can add your own layers into the views, which might provide some pretty cool conceptual representations regarding spatial analysis.

Let me know if you have tinkered with this at all...

We take .shp files and overlay them on top of raster images provided by Nasa's WorldWind. We chose NASA over Google because it was free to deploy. Check out www.devinfo.org for more info.
