My blog will focus on Customer Data Integration (CDI) and Customer Data Management (CDM). I think that CDI, CDM, master data management, and data governance are all disruptive trends that promise to light some fires. I'm actually pretty intrigued about what effect CDI will have on existing data integration technologies, about how MDM is still used more as a noun than as a verb, and how so few companies have deliberate, repeatable processes for managing their customer data.

Welcome to my blog. The fine folks at the Business Intelligence Network have provided me with this forum to offer opinion and insight into the worlds of telcommunications (telecom) and business activity monitoring (BAM). But as with any blog, I am sure that we (yes we... since blogging is a "team sport"...) will explore other tangents that intersect the concepts of telecom and BAM.

I am very excited about this opportunity to share my perspectives and experience in my Business Intelligence Network Blog. For those of you who may not have read
my articles and newsletters over the past few years, I hope you will
appreciate a vendor-independent perspective on all things related to
Business Performance Management (BPM). I focus on key topics
organizations should consider throughout their BPM project lifecycle,
from early stage requirements definition and justification, key measure
development, vendor selection and finally, successful deployment and
rollout. Of course, market trends and vendor updates will also be part
of the mix. Please stop by on a regular basis to see what's new, and to
make this interactive, please share your opinions. If you have a
specific question, contact me directly at cschiff@bpmpartners.com

I like the various blogs associated with my many hobbies and even those to do with work. I find them very useful and I was excited when the Business Intelligence Network invited me to write my very own blog. At last I now have somewhere to park all the various tidbits that I know are useful, but I am not sure what to do with. I am interested in a wide range of information technologies and so you might find my thoughts will bounce around a bit. I hope these thoughts will provoke some interesting discussions.
